I've had a varied and interesting career that has given me the skills and experience to offer a range of services to individuals and businesses. I've lived in different countries, travelled extensively and worked with all kinds of people.
My professional services use my brain but outside work I prefer hands-on activities like yoga, crafts and growing tomatoes. I moved to south-west France in March 2025 for a better quality of life and more nature.
Ultimately, all the services I offer are about people, and my approach is to put people at the centre.
Data protection: without people there is no personal data in the first place. A people-centred approach actually helps your compliance.
Plain English: you write emails, content and documents because you want people to read them. And in some cases take an action. Putting your audience at the heart of your communications leads to improved understanding, better relationships and, where the communication asks for action, more chance of it actually happening.
Coaching: is all about you! All coaching should be led by the client and focused on their needs.
A people-centred approach is one where you focus on people, not just data or content. Where you consider outcomes, impacts and harms as well as benefits, innovation and profit. Where you write for your audience, not for you. Where you put yourself in their shoes and try to understand their perspective.

This picture is about 10 years old. I have more grey hair now, and sometimes it’s purple. But I hate having my photo taken and I still broadly look like this!
